there are plans to open source ADF Faces RC as well, as announced during JavaOne 2007. I don't know where this will be open sourced. Since it is different from Trinidad, I think its more likely that it wll become a project of its own.

I agree that there is much more of interest in ADF like templating and taskflows which might be more attracting to customers than ADF Faces as a component set (but ADF Faces was a good start). Both, templating and taskflows will work with Trinidad as well (but require JSF 1.2)

Anyway, I feel Customers don't use Oracle just for ADF Faces, they go for the better part of it-- ADF BC, ADF Bindings which improve the productivity to a great extent which is quite unbelievable unless one sees and experiences it. Regards,
