Eric Indeed we’ve upgraded Kafka NAR to Kafka 0.9 client lib. Having said that we’ve also tested it with several version (including yours) of Kafka broker and all was good. So the fact that you see no errors is strange. Perhaps a thread dump as I am suspecting some Kafka deadlock. The mentions of such deadlocks keep popping up on Kafka mailing list.
Meanwhile, i’d suggest to use the Kafka NAR from the previous version.
