Yes. This is correct.

What I found strange is that once disk was freed the system would still
have similar messages.

I suspect because NiFi is unable to write journals it goes into a "closed
for business" mode until disk is released. Yet I could decipher:

* Why did it refuse to restore its health;
* Why did it would still have errors around "could not find journal" X.

I will try to reproduce @ my home lab and get the stacks and logs uploaded
to somewhere.
