I cleaned up the NiFi logs and restarted the instance to get a better insight into possible causes of the error. Here is the entire stack (I apologize for dumping it here, but I'm sure those who know NiFi internals could point me in the right direction):
What seems strange to me is the mention of Kerberos at the very top of the stack. Also, I'm not sure what "anonymous" means, since I typed in the login credentials. Basically, I'm trying to figure out if the LDAP server refuses to talk, or it can't authenticate the user based on the input.
