I’ve updated the Upgrading NiFi section of the Wiki [1]. It is now broken up into three sections covering different upgrade scenarios. Your original concerns should be covered in “1.x.0 to 1.x.0 Upgrade” [2]. I did this work under NIFI-3113 [3]. If you see any errors or have feedback to share, please comment in that Jira.
