Hi Ben,

The cleanup should happen on startup if the usage exceeds 50% and run
regularly. You may even see warnings that NiFi is applying backpressure while
waiting for archiving to free up space.

If archiving doesn’t free up space, you may have the situation that content
files are being kept because one small file is still in a queue somewhere.
Look for connections that have old flowfiles in them. If you inspect a flowfile
in the queue you can see the filesize on the left, but also the content claim
on the right. If that size is much bigger, it means your (old) flowfile is
keeping that entire content claim file active. If this is the case, you’ll have
to process or delete the flowfiles.

Regards,

Isha

HI,

I have changed below

nifi.content.repository.implementation=org.apache.nifi.controller.repository.FileSystemRepository
nifi.content.claim.max.appendable.size=50 KB
nifi.content.repository.directory.default=./content_repository
nifi.content.repository.archive.max.retention.period=12 hours
nifi.content.repository.archive.max.usage.percentage=50%
nifi.content.repository.archive.enabled=true
nifi.content.repository.always.sync=false
nifi.content.viewer.url=../nifi-content-viewer/

previously it was default 7 days. and restarted nifi. Will this take
immediately ?
