Hello list,

I have a little tricky question. Perhaps somebody can help me.

I show a layer in my map. This layer shows polygons at a specific time. Now you
can click a button and the next time will be shown in the map. You can change
the time back of course, too.

In my solution there are timestamps from the year 1980 up to 2009.

This works fine, but I have a little performance problem. It is not very fast
to load the different layers. If the layer is loaded, he is in the cache and
load the next time faster. That's ok.

I think now, perhaps it is possible to load the next timestamp-Layer in the
browser cache while the user looks at the active layer. If the user then
clicked at the button, the layer must only load out of the browser cache.

I don't know if something like that is possible or not. Perhaps somebody can
help me or somebody has already realise something like this.

A lot of thanks to you for your help.

Greetings

Hanno
