Hi Hanno,
This will be possible when I'm finished investigating the use of html5 canvas for openlayers. ;-) My plan is to show the layers inside a canvas which then is just a image which can be saved. If you can't wait for me to be finished you might want to experiment yourself a bit. It's easy to create a canvas element and add images to it so you might want to get the WMS requests from the layers and add them to a canvas for saving. Of course I'm assuming that your map consists of WMS layers only now. Hope this helps a bit Feel free to contact me if you need more info Cheers Kris From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Rahn Hanno (rahn) Sent: Thursday, November 12, 2009 3:54 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [OpenLayers-Users] Save jpg from actual Mapview Hello list, I have another question to you. Perhaps you can help me. I will have a simple imgage (jpg, png, gif, ...) from my mapview. I will have a button on my side and if the user presses this button you can save the actual mapview with all shown layers in the shown scale and so on as an image. Like a screenshot from the map-div for example. The format is not so important. I don't know if it is possible. Perhaps this is not the right forum, but perhaps somebody can help me. A lot of thanks to you for your help. Greetings Hanno ------------------------------------------ Hanno Rahn, Dipl.-Ing.
