Your best bet is to look at whatever you are using to render your tiles, and
use the current bounding box information to send a request to your server to
generate the map view as one image rather than a tile.

Hello list,
I have another question to you. Perhaps you can help me. I will have a simple
imgage (jpg, png, gif, …) from my mapview. I will have a button on my side and
if the user presses this button you can save the actual mapview with all shown
layers in the shown scale and so on as an image. Like a screenshot from the
map-div for example. The format is not so important. I don’t know if it is
possible. Perhaps this is not the right forum, but perhaps somebody can help
me.
