If no change, try with a brand new file to check if it still occurs or not.

Hi,

My open office keeps dying. It is OpenOffice.org 3.4.1 AOO341m1 build:9593
Rev 1372282

Recently purchased a new laptop - Gateway NV52L06u has an AMD64 dual core
processor A6-4400M. This comes with Windows 7 installed. Currently trying to
transition from windows to ubuntu,And I run OO inside of windows. After
copying all my data files over from the old computer, down loaded OO. About
every second time OO would open one of the .ODT files it would crash.

Read through the blogs, got a hint about administrator priveleges. Uninstalled
OO, and re-installed another OO. Seemed to work OK for a bit, but the crashes
began again.

When I try a download from apache, it doesn't ask if 32 or 64 bit? Please tell
(point, show, direct) me which Open office to download, and how to load on my
computer.

Thank you for the assistance,
Larry Gran
