I´ve made a form with OO "writer".
Now I want to save it as an JEPG
I tried with "save as" command and with "export" but it seams not possible.
There is no JEPG format!
How can I save something from "Writer" as JEPG?
It is a combination from a picture with cells.

There is no direct way, but you can do this:

- Start with a new Draw document. Make the page as large as is needed to contain the Writer document. Set the page border to 0. - Insert > OLE > From file. Select your Writer document. Make sure it is linked, not embedded. - The document will be inserted in a default size, which is often not the correct size. Double click the OLE object and drag the frame so, that all what you want to see from your Writer document is visible. Click somewhere to leave the edit mode of the OLE.
-Make sure, that the Draw page really contains the whole Writer document.
- File > Export. Choose jpeg format and enter the target file name.
- Now you get the picture export dialog. Here you can set the dpi and the size and the compression. You have to click several times into the fields till the fields will take your settings. For printing you need 300dpi, for Web 72 dpi is sufficient.
OK.

In the whole process, that is in the Writer document and in Draw, you should only work with linked pictures. That way you are certain, that there are no intermediate conversions to other formats.

Kind regards
Regina
