– I could be very detailed and specific about this issue, and offer
sound “.odt” file examples of this behavior. But, frankly, I feared
it would be rather tedious a reading. – As said, my aim was simply
that of verifying if, just offering a few hints about this issue, it
was already a well known one, and possibly taken care of. Again, I've
appreciated the answers here received, and I'd be pleased to be of
further help to possibly develop a real solution.

Thank you for your post. If you have already fixed the problem
yourself, but can reproduce it consistently on other computers and
wouldn't mind writing up a specific and detailed description, then feel
free to create an account at
http://issues.apache.org/ooo
and create a formal bug report.
I appreciate your asking about it here first, though! That's a great
way to avoid the filing of duplicate bugs.
