Well, we do have a users mailing list in French:

The correct solution would be to
1) Make sure that French-speaking people on this list are subscribed to
the French list too. Is this already the case?
2) Point French-speaking users there.
3) See if the mailing list in French is currently properly linked from
the French website; if you find anything that must be updated, just
report it and we can fix it.
