Sue, I'm going to here make the (hopefully not entirely unwarranted) assumption that the procedure in Apache OpenOffice is the same as in LibreOffice, in which case you can do the following : 1. Open Writer 2. Click Tools → Options 3. In the left panel, expand OpenOffice Writer 4. Choose Basic Fonts (Western) 5. In the right panel choose the appropriate parameters - font and size - for Default (which may also change the settings for, e g, Headings and List) 6.
