To whom it may concern I have been using open office for a very long time, never had issues. Yesterday (18-12-19) I was using my document I used daily, then we had a power cut, so the Computer went off. (this has happened before but never encountered the following issue) Once the computer came back on I went to access my document, to get a pop up, “locked by unknown user” read only or open copy neither of the above open my document, it is an important document.
I closed everything off, ran troubleshooting, still not allowed me in the document, I transferred it to another computer and still wont let me access it. A few of my other open office document still open apart from the 2 used on 18-12-19. I have tried searching for a phone number for direct help, but only option was forums, I have tried following whats said in forums, but still unsuccessful. I restored my computer back to a restore point, thinking something in-between may have happened, I also installed the latest version of AOO, but again not allowing me to open 2 important documents….
