We had to take action, and the decision was to convert everything into
something static. I am not sure what exactly has been done, that is what
i am aware of.
I have started to investigate what i need to do to create a new
extensions service. But i need time, i am not a web developer, and it
takes time. Sorry, all.
I am big fan of the KISS PRINCIPLE
(keep It simple, seriously).
I agree. I am not sure if i want to go with Drupal CMS again.
I mean the setup is kind of simple, but the migration does not look simple.
I am still working on a plan. (Input is always welcome.)
Right now static links to files hosted on a Google Drive folder with
google drive and other services are kind of difficult, but i check if
there is an option.
subfolders for every 1st character eg
/AOO-Extensions /a/Andromeda.oxt
/AOO-Extensions /b/Boolean.oxt
(...)
/AOO-Extensions /z/Zoo.oxt
(to keep from being a huge visual mess when perusing manually)
...would do.
The question is..
Where are the files?
Where do you keep a copy?
The website stored the files here
https://sourceforge.net/projects/aoo-extensions/files/
one example: for dict-en:
Home <https://sourceforge.net/projects/aoo-extensions/files/> / 17102
<https://sourceforge.net/projects/aoo-extensions/files/17102/> / 0 /
dict-en.oxt
Home <https://sourceforge.net/projects/aoo-extensions/files/> / 17102
<https://sourceforge.net/projects/aoo-extensions/files/17102/> /112 /
dict-en-20250901_aoo.oxt
<https://sourceforge.net/projects/aoo-extensions/files/17102/112/dict-en-20250901_aoo.oxt/download>
As you see it is currently not very human usable.
We could change the structure and maybe add some generic file handling
service on top.
This would be not very comfortable, but maybe a good first step forward.
Thanks for the input.
I have to think about it and what options we have.
All the best
