You should not have any problems in upgrading from 4.1.7 to 4.1.16.
Version 4.1.7 is more than 6 years old and it's a good idea to keep more
up to date, if only because of security issues.
If you're worried about what has changed, you can read about the
different versions at https://openoffice.apache.org/blogpage, where
there are also links to the Release Notes for each version
