Problems with showing ppt-files!
Please see attached file on page 3 and 13.
Page 3: The picture is misplaced. (Please compair to appearance in MS Power Point)
Page 13: The small euro-signs (€) is just shown as vertical lines (| )

i tried to reproduce your report and my result is:
- OOo 1.1.2 work flawless
- OOo 1.9.65 (yes, an old devel version) many issues appear (more than you described), but this version was superseded already by other devel versions
so, you should report to IssueZilla, attach the file and mention: OOo version, Operating System
