Folks,
I've been a reasonably happy user of Open Office for about two years, but very reluctantly am throwing in the towel. I'm dealing with many complex documents in my business, all of which are either produced on MS Word or will be viewed by one of the Microsoft Office programs, and there are far too many compatibility problems.
I have not been active in any forums, since I want to use OO as a tool. In fact, I wanted to standardize my company around it as we grow.
If there's anyone willing to look at my compatibility problems, I'll be happy to send them some files. I'd really like to see OO succeed, but I fear in the high complexity environment it has a way to go.
the right approach is to report those cases as bugs in IssueZilla attaching files showing the problem:

you may want before to check the files in the development version leading to 2.0, where the support for Microsoft files is improved:
