Hi Jeff,

I didn't know that OpenOffice is supposed to have the feature of opening Outlook Express email files (and it doesn't work on my version 1.1.3).
You will probably need again Outlook Express (maybe even same version) installed to open Your mail files.
However there is also a plug-in for the Total Commander which lets You have look at them.

Hope it helps

Please Help! I had PC trouble, my motherboard needed replaced. My friend put a new
motherboard and processor in for me. I told him I wanted everything saved, especially the
emails that I had saved, as well as bookmarked sites. He told me that my Outlook Express
items were saved in "My Documents" folder. When I tried to open these items
with Open Office, the material is unreadable. It looks like hieroglyphics or whatever.
Either I did something wrong, he saved this stuff wrong, or I need to set Open Office up
to make this readable. CAn you help me get this fixed?

Thanks very much for any response!

Sincerely,

JQuick
