When I enter a line of underscores and press enter, it turns into a solid black line. This happens in 1.1.4 & 1.9.74.
I tried turning off automatic recognition of _ _ for underline a few other auto correct options?
Can this be turned off and am I looking in the right place?

Peter you are going to hate me but this is an RTFM. The manual is any of Help, user guide or oooauthors guides. Look for autocorrect.
It is indeed in help. It didn't occur to me that it would be called apply border.
