Hi Michael, Excellent, you have taken the first step. You appear to be an inexperienced computer user (not a criticism, just an observation) because you do not recognise the ".zip" file suffix as a compressed file. A "zip" file can contain many other files in a compressed form to (amongst other things) reduce download time. Now you need to expand (decompress) the "zip" file. From your email header I am guessing you are running Windows 98. In which case you need to get a zip/unzip program (7-zip from http://www.7-zip.org or WinZip from http://www.winzip.com are 2 popular options) to unzip (extract) the OOo files to a temporary directory/folder. When you have done that, read the "SETUP_GUIDE.pdf" file that you will find there. I you need more help please reply to [EMAIL PROTECTED] There are thousands of knowledgeable OOo users here who will try to assist you. There is also a lot of info at http://documentation.openoffice.org/ HTH Dave --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
