Crystal,

I downloaded it for the spreadsheet. I had files in Excel but not the
software to read it anymore (I was using an old copy of excel and got rid of
it when we moved not knowing my computer would crash). So the spreadsheet
capabilities is all I am using.

I am considering uninstalling it and then reinstall only the spreadsheet. I
don't know if this will work - I am waiting for feedback. I did copy
something out of the QA section titled 'user interface font looks garbled'
but I don't understand what they are saying to do. I can't find any place
called fontpath.
Do you know how to uninstall? Do I just use add/remove programs?

Since installing openoffice my webpages are often unreadable. The
fonts are often so small and broken that I can't read them. I have
tried to change the font going through internet tools but that has not
worked. I am assuming it is a setting somewhere in the openoffice
software. Example is the 'general links' column on openoffice.org
webpage. The font appears to be about 6 point and broken up. I assume
it is the style as much as the size.

Help! How do I correct this?

Could I suggest a different product? OOo is mainly an office suite with
advanced capabilities for Spreadsheet, word processing, presentations,
etc. It can do HTML, but not well (in my opinion) and this might be
causing some font size confusion.

Nvu, a free HTML WYSIWYG, is specifically for web site development. You
can download it here: http://nuv.com

Hope this helps.
