hi again, - just wanted to express my thanks again! - now, one of these days, I'll have to summon up what I did, step by step. I've got it running on my laptop IBM (R50), but not on any of the stationary PCs. It's to do with some libwpd, I'm quite sure. I'll look into it - or keep bothering you :-) In fact, this ability for OOo to read WP files is a gem. There are just so many companies that have 1000s of WP files. And their only option, and a bad one at that, is to write them into Word format - using WP. With this filter, natively available inside OO, a 100% Linux solution is much more attractive.
