Thank you G. Roderick Singleton,
I know that you/we are volunteers here. I simply thought I would get some help here as it worked before. So, sorry and thank you for replying!

What is up here? Am I ignored? Is anybody reading me?
service. Please understand this.
OS: Linux SuSE 9.2, up to date OOo: V1.1.3 (SuSE rpm) OOo: V1.1.4 (tar ball from OpenOffice.org installed under /usr/local/OpenOffice.org1.1.4) Both versions basically work independently(?), except for the second problem
Problem:
1. I can't change the printer settings in V1.1.3 (anymore?). If I
change/create something it will not be saved.
Suse packages their own release of OOo so I haven't a clue. Please try asking on a Suse list/newsgroup.
You wouldn't happen to have a Link eventually? But I'll try that!
Can't save would appear to me to be a permissions problem.2. I can't setup the user settings of V1.1.4. When I use 1.1.4 it can't save "script.<something>" and another one at the end.
My questions:Maybe
1. Is there any permission problem I couldn't figure out yet?
2. Is there any overlapping of those two versions even though they are
installed at different locations?
Should not be.
Yeah, thanks, I thought so.
3. Do I have to uninstall V1.1.4 and reinstall V1.1.3 in order to beI do not think so.
able to change the printer settings?
4. or how can I upgrade SuSE's V1.1.3 to V1.1.4?
Ask Suse about the upgrade.
I was looking for it already, but maybe not good enough! So I'll try again!
I did this and I can set up the printers correctly and sufficiantly under V1.1.4, but it doesn't work for the user changing some settings even though I can edit and print any file with it. As a user I get an error message at the end of my OOo V1.1.4 session that it cannot save two files (a script.xlc and dialog.xlc) under some circumstances, so that I have so set up the settings all time again.I do have a suggestion for you. Locate the 1.1.4 spadmin and run it as root. See that you are pointing to the correct postscript printer.
CUPS may be able to help you if your printer is not PS capable.
Thanks again so far.
