Hey guys!
I'm just getting started with open office, but I'm dedicated and I really want to use it instead of MS Office. Unfortunately, either I'm slightly to humble, or it's slightly too complicated in some respects or both, either way I have some problems I need help on:
1.Using the writer:
I finally found out how to insert page numbers at the bottom of the page.
How can I insert a "footer"-field (in which I'll put the page number) to all pages except the first two?
When I chose "insert - footer" it always pops up on all pages of the document, but the first is supposed to be my titel page without footer!
2. Using the writer:
If I have a document consisting of multiple pages, how can I have one page somewhere in the middle being landscape and the rest a portrait format?
3. General:
I downloaded a spellchecker for German and even the installer for the spellchecker. But I have no idea how it works!
I have an English OOo-version and I want to install the German spellchecker. I know where to find it, but not how to install it.
Could you, please...?
4. General:
Could you recommend a user's manual to me? I know there are many on the web, I just don't have the time to start reading them all to find the best of them which covers all the important topics.
Is there a golden standard?
