You'd be better off subscribing and posting to the dev list. For most of the subscribers here C++ is fortified orange juice. :-)

I need my application to 1) open a CSV file, 2) generate a chart from it, 3) display the chart within a fixed dimension GUI frame at a fixed location on the screen, 4) do this without the user viewing or manipulating the spreadsheet or chart.
The application is C++, the GUI is Motif, and the OS is Solaris 8. I've been evaluating the SDK, but I can't tell if steps 3 and 4 are possible. I would appreciate any comments and suggestions.
