OpenOffice 1.1.1 had the ability to delete and rename files from within the File/Open dialog box. You could right-click on the file and choose delete or rename.
Newer versions (1.1.3, 1.1.4) do not seem to have that option. The only option is "Show hidden files". I also checked the 2.0 beta and it also is missing the option to delete and rename files.
Is there a reason why delete and rename were removed? Also, is there any plan to eventually add them back in once there is better integration with Gnome Nautilus?
Thanks,
Jonathan
In my copy of 1.1.4 on Win XP, I can get the rename and delete options in the OOo file dialog boxes (Tools > Options > General > Use OOo dialogs) and I get a whole list of commands if I use the normal window's boxes.
