Hello.

I'd preface this response with the general disclaimer that "I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV." However, from what I can gather by simply looking at the site, I would agree that they are probably not violating the licensing agreement for the projects involved, as long as they are not modifying the license and are making the source code available (something I wouldn't be able to find out without actually *buying* the CD).

But I also agree that it has some ethics issues. If I were not already familiar with OpenOffice and Firefox/Mozilla, their site ... while not saying it outright ... would give me the impression that they are the developers.

Besides, no where do they mention that one can download OpenOffice and Firefox for free from their respective websites.

So, are they legal? Yes. Are the ethical? No.

Just my two cents.

Have a wonderful day,

I ran across this web site and thought I would bring it to Sun's attention. I am not aware if this company is infringing on any copyrights or actually committing a crime, but I wanted to bring it to your attention regardless.

http://www.firefoxoffice.com/firefox.html

It is bundling GPL software for profit. As I said above, it doesn appear they are breaking any laws but it is quite disingenuous to say the least
