just issue:
rm -f *suse*
rm -f *rpm*
to delete the Suse and Red Hat specific RPM regarding the menus
and then rpm2tgz *.rpm
and finally installpkg *.tgz
OOo 2.0bc will be installed in /opt/openoffice-1.9.79/
I also have Slackware.
