XP, OO.o 1.9.69 I know it is old but it does not give me trouble, and I need it to be stable.
I had disk trouble, so I cloned my disk (I just HATE to reinstall all those programs) I found
that afterwards, OO.o didn't work quite right
so I uninstalled it then reinstalled it.
The Quick Start didn't load and the splash screen doesn't display.
I figured out how to make the system tray icon load
Here is how:
Start Writer (probably any other component would do) Click Tools, Options, OpenOffice.org, Memory, then Click the Checkbox for Load OpenOffice.org at startup.
BUT I cannot seem to find where the Splash Screen is made to display or not.
Could someone help?

I believe that if the QS is loaded, then the splash screen won't display when you open something.
