Where is "HTML"? I use the HTML editor in 1.1.3 quite often, but cannot find it in version 1.9.79

The HTML editor (such that it is) is fully intact. Don't let the lack of an icon fool you. Just open any mode of OOo - Writer, Impress, Draw, etc... And click on the little icon with the birds. This is a kind of task switcher. A drop-down menu will show up. Click on the HTML option (it's the one with the starfish - don't ask me why). And you are good to go.
If you want an icon in your start menu (assuming you are using Windows XP) just go to your old 1.1.4 menu, and right-click on the HTML icon there. Then select "Create shortcut". Move that short cut (drag and drop style) to your OOo 1.9.79 menu. Once you are there, right click on it again and select "Properties". then click on the second tab which says "Shortcut". Change the *TARGET* option to say - "C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 1.9.79\program\soffice.exe" -web (quotes included) And the *START IN* one to say - "C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 1.9.79\program"
Basically, all you should be changing is the 1.1.4 to 1.9.79 - that is assuming you didn't change any of the default folders when you installed it. Of course, 1.9.84 is out now, and you'll have to repeat the process when/if you ever install that one.
Now, to address your question of why it's being called 2.0 - well, it's not. It's being called 2.0 BETA - the BETA refers to a session of tests that programmers do before actually releasing a program. 1.9.79 (and all the OOo's that start with 1.9) are developer tests before releasing 2.0 final. None of the 1.9's should be used as your main office suite. They are unstable, and probably have bugs that need to be fixed. If you have gotten rid of 1.1.4, I suggest you redownload and reinstall it. Don't use 1.9.x as your main suite. If you'd like to keep using it and testing it - that's fine, just realize that it is a little risky. And, if you've created any documents in 1.9.79 - they may or may not open in 1.1.4, because 2.0 is going to be using a new file format that I don't think 1.1.4 can handle.
Anytime you go to download a program, and there are two versions, with different version numbers available for download - read it carefully. Don't just grab the higher number and assume it's better. Most of the time, if they are still offering the lower number, there is a reason, and it is likely because the higher number is a developer's test. In fact, it's always good to read the page carefully before downloading anything.
