I now have MS Office 2003 and no longer want OpenOffice. It tries to take over everything, and keeps me from opening numerous files. When I try to remove it, it won't. *How do I remove it???*
Thank you for your help.
Hi, Bob --
I don't know what program you're using, but it must not be OOo, which does none of these things *unless you tell it to*.
Use Windows Add/Remove programs to uninstall it, or run the OOo setup.exe again and choose "remove".

I have tried numerous times to remove the OpenOffice program using "Add/Remove" to no avail. When I try to open the Setup program, it just lies there...won't open. Numerous other programs I try to open/use it with just generate an "error" message to send to OpenOffice.org. (i.e. I tried to open a typing program from my KeyBoarding Pro disk and all I got was the ERROR Message...wouldn't open the disk.
Please, someone help me uninstall this program.
Thanks again,
Bob
