I downloaded open office 1.1.4 last night; which took several hours.
When I woke up the computer this afternoon, I had difficulty finding
where the file had been stored. Now I do not understand what I need to
do to install and use it. I have figure out the extract process 2 or 3
times by accident, but something always happens before I get to any next
step. e.g. downloading emergency update winamp which was a pop up.
This program was highly recommended to me by my son, a college Library
Director and Information Mgt professional. But I am finding it very
difficult to get started with compared to other programs I've installed.
At some point, I did find a link to install without user interaction,
but I can't even seem to find that link again. I'm sure I'm probably
overlooking some really simple thing. But I suspect it's something I've
never run into before.
