If you have a local hardware geek, you can get him/her to hook up your
computer to another one using a serial or parallel port which older
computers all have. This will work even if you don't have a network
adapter. It requires some software such as Laplink and a special cable
- that's where the geek comes in.

I have a really old laptop that has no CD drive and not internet accessable...I only want to use it as a word processor so it is good enough- except I can't down load my CD of open office to it and can't download it into a floppy from your web page (the file is too large) is there a way to download (even just the word processing ) onto a floppy so I can put it on this dionasaur? I need help! PLEASE!
