Yes than hapened until i installed the version 2 of OpenOffice.
In 1.1.3 it worked fine, but in version 2 then wizard to select the column
size and the column type, dosen't show. I have unistalled the version 1.1.3
and installed the latest VERSION 1.9.84.

Hi,
I may have lost part of the thread ...however:
According to my experience (under Linux Debian/Sarge) the .csv extension
doesn't seem to be necessary: what is important, instead, is the path
you follow: File > New > Spreadsheet > Insert > Sheet From File; then,
when the window dialog appears, choose File Type: Text CSV
(*.csv;*.txt): the list of your .txt files will show up so that you can
select the one you need.
