i had the same problem but all you need to do is to open the folder where OO 
was downloaded into and make sure you run the "setup"

There is probably a function on the Mac called Find or Search.
Use that to find where it downloaded to.   It happens to all of us.
It really helps to pay attention to what the messages say.
