If you downloaded it using Safari, Go to the Window menu, click on Downloads to bring up the downloads window, and click on the icon next to OpenOffice. It will open a new finder window with the file you downloaded already selected.
If you are using Firefox, do the same (the downloads window is under the Tools menu).

If you are using Opera, do Ctrl-Alt-T (if Opera for Mac has the same shortcuts as Opera for Windows) to open the Transfers window.
