Not sure about the first question; I would have to play around with it for a while, which I don't have the time to do right now. But the answer to question #2 is -- unfortunately, and maddeningly -- that OOo 1.1.4 and earlier can connect to *Mozilla* but not *Thunderbird* address books. The good news is that v 2.0, due out in a couple months or so, has that ability. It's one of the reasons I switched back to the Mozilla suite after using Thunderbird for a while.

I might migrate to version 2 after I familiarize with 1.1.4. better. Or maybe I should start from scratch with the lastest version: what's the difference and how do I upgrade?
