I have a catalog I have been working on as an OOo 1.1 Presentation file, which contains a large number of bitmaps and other graphics. I think I made the mistake of opening/modifying it with the 2.0 Beta version after noting that it does have bugs. Following this, the document will not open in either version of the program. The program opens with an error report citing "read error" "and sub-document format error" and a line/column citation. Is there a fix for this? Open document as text and edit? If so, how to find line/column and what to look for to delete? I have both versions installed on Win 98. Have been testing 2.0Beta, but intended to confine real work to the 1.1 version which seems more predictable. 2.0 will crash while pasting objects copied from Corel Word Perfect 10 where v.1.1 will handle the job without problem. Another crash produced a message which I have attached as an OOo document. Perhaps these issues are already resolved. I am still a newcomer to the program(within last couple of months) and am very impressed with its capabilities and comparative user-friendliness. Much easier to use than MS Office. Would like to see more control available in PDF conversion, also in conversion of Bitmap to Vector. Hope this isn't too many issues for one email. Congrats on a truly versatile product.
