They don't have to, the program does. Try this:

Right there our website is listed.

Heck, the name of the program is OpenOffice.org, doesn't take a genius
to find the website! :)



So this company not only rips off the project they expect us to do there support. Never. What they and others have done with re-labelling OOo may be sharp business in the Bill Gates sense but expecting free support is another thing. Where is the money? Cosmi has not supported the project in any fashion that I can find. Nuts to them.


I lurk on this list mostly, since I have not yet taken the time to begin fully using OOo. However, I agree with G. Roderick. Cosmi sells the application, along with a lot of other things and makes a handsome profit. We (the OOo open source community) don't know what modifications Cosmi might have made, what add-ons, etc.

Let *them* support *their* product.
