Your absolutely right! The margins have changed in the default template
in Writer. The directions for changing the default document
characteristics and saving them to a new default document are in the
Help file. Just do a search in the index for—what else?—"default
documents." The changes you make will stick until you decide to change
again.

Just wondering if the default page margins have been changed. In the last few
development snapshots, the margins are .79 inches - bottom, top, left &
right. This is on a letter sized page. In 1.1.4 and 1.90m63, the margins
are 1.25 inches - left and right & 1.00 inches - top & bottom. In my
opinion, this is the preferred behavior.
I have had no success in changing the .79 inch margins and making it stick.
