I installed Beta 2 tonight and tracked down the Zip files. However,
the program does not appear on my Programs menu. Then I unzipped the
suite. Still no way to open and operate it.
Please follow the instructions on http://download.openoffice.org/2.0beta/instructions.html
for the operating system you're using. On windows, you need to execute the "setup.exe" executable that you can find in the folder in which you unzipped the zip file you downloaded. This will perform the actual installation at the end of which OpenOffice.org will be accessible from the start menu.
