OOo reads and writes very well the MsOffice formats.  
It is not compatible with Word macros since App Basic is patented 
and not available.  

Therefore, OOo is not compatible 100% due to macros.  To keep from 
getting sued as quickly. 
If you rewrite your macros in StarBasic or whatever it's called then 
they are fine.  

If a program requires MsOffice 2000 then you will have to purchase 
or steal MsOffice 2000.
