Sorry to come back again on this issue:
I tested the search for the "'" character in a Write document using
\x0027 and it works fine for me too. Still unable to do the same in a
Spreadsheet ;(

Any idea of what it could be, given that it works in Write?
Were you testing under GNU-Linux? Do you think it could be related to a
particular distro (I use Debian-Sarge).
