     1) All OpenOffice.org (OOo) versions require Jave Runtime
Environment (JRE) for some of the features. However, once you have the
JRE on your computer, it can be used with the newer versions of OOo.
     2) The window's version of OOo 1.1.4 is between 60 and 70 MB. This
takes several hours to download unless you know someone with a
broadband connection. There are also links at www.openoffice.org to
organization which provide OOo on a CD. There is usually a small charge
for this service.
Once the program is downloaded and the md5sum is checked (see the
information about md5sums on the download page), burn it to one or more
CD's if more than one person wants to use it. This is perfectly legal
to do. (Check the license for more details if you so desire.)
