I'm a descent mechanic, but computers aren't really what I'm all about. I have a Dell Dimension 8400 Pentium 4 3.2GHz 1024mb Ram Microsoft Windows ZP Professional Version 5.1.2600 At first, my documents would print fine, after a day or two, it would not print from Open Office anymore. I did not change anything, and the printer did not change. I am on a Network, and am not using a printer connected directly to my computer. When I try to print with Open Office a screen comes up that asks me which printer, or fax I want to use, or if I want to print to file, after I click ok, the message that usually tells me that the computer is printing page 1 of 1 (or how many pages) only flashes extremely quickly on teh screen. Not slow enough for me to read anything of it, if I blink, I miss it. When I go into my "printers and faxes" settings on my computer, it does tell me it has an error printing the test page. one day my printer was printing fine, the next day it wasn't. Neither computer was turned off during the night, and my computer won't print. What the network owner is telling me is everytime I try to print, the owner of the network has to turn his PC off, and back on (not just restart) to be able to print again. Thanks, Merrick P.S.
