you have the same text stacked up on top of itself.
Now edit the top layer so that it look like you want that last time you click.
send it to the back.
now you next layer - edit that so it gives you your penultimate view .
send it to the back.
and so on until you have the layer you want to show on your first mouse click.
Send it to the back.
now animate them to 'appear' on a mouse click.

Thank you. It's very close to what I need, but don't think it's going
to work. In my presentation I describe all the options to the command
'svn' They are organized on the page like this:
add blame cat checkout cleanup commit copy delete diff export help import info list log merge mkdir move propdel propedit propget proplist propset resolved
revert status switch update
When I click I'd like to have words that deal with getting information to turn yellow. When I click one more time, I'd like all words that can modify things turn purple. And so on.

Using 1.1.4 you can do this:
Create a slide with bullet points, then click on sideshow / effects: then choose a TEXT effect (say cross fade from left) then the third icon in the row of four should clear itself (the one with the musical note and the clock) click on this to see the 'extras' panel. the top option allows you to fade to a colour - although it seems to require an extra mouse click!

As I cover each line of text on a slide, I would like the font color toStill stuck. Please help! I need a key search word to get on the right track. It's not Font effects, or Font work. Help!
change as I click. I'm not sure what this feature would be called, as
it's not animation.
It's not really animation. Do I need to learn how to write a macro?
