[users] Creation of a database source

I have created a spreadsheet, saved it in the .sxc format.
In Tools, Data Sources, New data source I have typed a name for the spreadsheet.
Under connection I have chosen Spreadsheet and in the Tables Tab I am told that 
a url connection with this file had not been made.
What have I not done?
