Some versions of OpenOffice.org can open Works documents, such as the Ubuntu
version (Ubuntu is a very popular Linux distribution), which I have
installed on my system. I would suggest one of the following:

   1. Send the file to someone who has Works and let him/her convert it to
   whatever is suitable.
   2. Send the file to me (off list) and I will try to convert it for you.
This option will provide two advantages (hopefully), where the other one is
that I have the opportunity to try this, since I'm curious about if this
works good or not or even if it works at all.
   3. Look at Microsoft's site for a converter. I am not sure about if there
   is one, however.
